Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2026-05-16T08:09Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2026-05-16T08:09:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Note Keyword:
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
PRM: Prominence material (filamentary structures)
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
Note: CME observed to the W in STEREO A COR2, not observed in the other coronagraphs likely due to the occulting disk blocking the front in LASCO and CCOR-1. The source is likely a new far-sided active region located approximately around S05-S18 and W165-W185, as viewed from Solar Orbiter PHI at 2026-05-16T05:09Z. Solar Orbiter STIX observed an estimated X1 [estimated range M7,X2] flare from this approximate area of the disk, peaking at 2026-05-16T07:08Z. STEREO A EUVI 195/304 observe filament ejecta and field line movement starting at 2026-05-16T07:15Z over its west limb (STEREO A is located around W57.7 at this time, putting its limb around W147.7).

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |
